This project was based on taking inspiration from the British seaside and exploring this within textiles.

The main source of inspiration for these scarf designs came from vintage travel posters featuring the seaside. Then taking this inspiration using primary research photography of seaside towns in England to digitally manipulate these photographs.

These digitally manipulated images are the basis of the jacquard woven designs of the scarves while using a variety of peg plans to add extra details.
